Fired-up Mawdsley won't do anything to jinx Paris

Disqualification at the World Indoors in Glasgow has given Sharlene Mawdsley a point to prove. But she will take nothing for granted.

From the frustration came a fire. Sharlene Mawdsley was churning through hill reps last week, feeling like death warmed up, and wondering if she’d make it to the end. Then another thought popped up.

“All I was thinking was, ‘I’ve a point to prove.’ It definitely helped me.”
