Cork’s Callum Walsh improved his record to 10-0 with a ninth-round stoppage of Dauren Yeleussinov in Madison Square Garden’s Theatre on St Patrick’s Weekend.

The Freddie Roach-trained fighter took on Yeleussinov, the older brother of Daniyar who won an Olympic gold medal in 2016, for the WBC Continental Americas crown. From the off the Cobh native applied constant pressure and eventually the referee stood in for a ninth-round TKO.
