Mona McSharry has qualified for the final of the 100m breaststroke at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha. 

The 23-year-old from Sligo placed second in her semi-final on Monday evening, swimming 1:06.11 as she finished behind Tang Qianting of China. The time was just outside her Irish record of 1:05.55. It was also the second fastest time of the semi-finals and slightly faster than her performance in the heat on Monday morning.
