Sports Illustrated to lay off most of staff with future of iconic magazine in doubt

The news could mark the end for the once-revered outlet.

Staff at the iconic Sports Illustrated have been told there will be 'mass layoffs' in a bombshell email on Friday.

The Arena Group - which publishes the magazine - informed employees that a 'significant number, possibly all, of the Guild-represented workers at SI' will be laid off.
