Aidan Murphy closed out 2023 on a perfect note, with a flashy win over Arthur McDonagh in the feature score of the RNLI—Cancer Connect benefit at Castletownbere.
It’s exactly the kind of win that will inspire him into 2024, the year of the European championships. Murphy is an ambitious player, he won the European Dutch Moors gold medal on the gritty course at Fenile di Fano near Pesaro in Italy in 2012, setting a European record of 1,524.25m. How he would love to add the road gold medal in Germany next May.
