Road Bowling: Sexton conquers Bohane to take Mother Hegarty Cup spoils 

It was Séamus Sexton who was quick out of the blocks and maintained a stranglehold from start to finish.

European champion, Séamus Sexton, reversed the result of the 2022 Munster senior final when he beat Michael Bohane by a bowl of odds in the Mother Hegarty Cup at Lyre.

Everything was different this time, including the weather, which was hovering around 30 Celsius for their previous encounter. It was Sexton who was quick out of the blocks and maintained a stranglehold from start to finish. He reached the forestry entrance with two big opening bowls to establish a 60m lead. Bohane cut those odds in half with a great third shot.
