Karl KIlbride’s Liffey Celtics extended their unbeaten run to start the season with a big 75-68 home win against Glanmire. Leading by as much as 19, Liffey Celtics never trailed and were full value for their win. Despite shooting just 2/21 from three, Celtics dominated on the boards as the more physical team and their second chance opportunities were a big factor in a low scoring game. Once again balanced scoring was there for Liffey with four players on 14 or more. It will be the defensive end that pleases Kilbride most though as Liffey kept the most explosive offensive team in the country to just 39 points through three quarters. Glanmire did fight back in the fourth winning it 29-19 and got the lead back to just six but they had already dug themselves too big of a hole.
