The exclusion of three J1000 crews from the Sligo Pallets Irish Forest Rally Championship hasn’t cast a shadow over the integrity of the series according to the championship’s sub-commission chairperson John Quill.

The series is open to drivers over the age of fourteen and under nineteen on the day of the event to drive on the gravel events. On the road sections, the co-driver, who is required to have a full driving licence, takes over driving duties in order to comply with the Road Traffic Act.
