Lewis Hamilton has offered a veiled apology for his claim that Formula One bosses are singling him out.

Hamilton’s bid to match Michael Schumacher’s record 91 victories at last Sunday’s Russian Grand Prix went up in smoke when he was handed a 10-second penalty for performing two illegal practice starts ahead of the race.
