US Open to offer record prize money

The singles champions at the US Open will receive record prize money, the United States Tennis Association (USTA) has announced.

The singles champions at the US Open will receive record prize money, the United States Tennis Association (USTA) has announced.

The men's and women's singles champions will earn $3.5million (€3.15m), €0.7m more than Andy Murray and Serena Williams were awarded for winning this year's Wimbledon.
