VIDEO: Michael Conlan qualifies for World Championship final

Ireland have secured a record medal haul at the AIBA World Champinships, with Irish captain Michael Conlan embellishing that haul by guaranteeing himself a place in the final.
The Belfast bantamweight won on all three scorecards against Dzmitry Asanau of Belarus, to take a 30-27, 29-28 and 29-28 unaminous decision in the semi-final.
The 2012 Olympic medallist is now guaranteed at least silver medal.
Meanwhile Michael O'Reilly lost his semi-final to Bektemir Melikuziev.
O’Reilly will take home a bronze medal and now faces a box-off against the other losing semi-finalist for a place at the Rio Olympics, which Conlan has already qualified for.
Joe Ward is also guaranteed a medal, with the possibility of an upgrade from bronze.
Ward is in semi-final action tomorrow against another Uzbekistani fighter, Ishod Rasukov.
