Djokovic sets up Dimitrov clash

Novak Djokovic will meet rising star Grigor Dimitrov in a cracker of a third-round tie at the French Open after dispatching Guido Pella for the loss of only four games.

With heavy rain disrupting play at Roland Garros, it was not surprising the world number one was keen to get off Court Philippe Chatrier as soon as possible.

And Argentinian Pella, ranked 83, proved little obstacle as Djokovic won 11 games in a row at one stage and 14 of the last 16 in a 6-2 6-0 6-2 victory that lasted an hour and 26 minutes.

Djokovic, who had been given a stern test by David Goffin in round one, can expect a much tougher time against 26th seed Dimitrov on Saturday.

The Bulgarian, a comfortable winner over Lucas Pouille today, has long been tipped as a future star and is beginning to live up to the hype.

The biggest result of his career so far came earlier this month in Madrid when he beat Djokovic in the second round, and the Serbian will know he cannot afford to drop too far below his best if he is to avoid a repeat.
