Irish 49ers finish fourth in second race

Ireland’s Ryan Seaton and Matthew McGovern impressed and finished fourth in today's 49er class sailing at Weymouth.

France won the first 49er race of London 2012 after a sprint finish.

The Irish medal hopefuls got off well in a difficult start which saw many boats punished by a wind shift on the first leg.

They saw rivals for the podium, Australia and Spain, end in eighth and 15th place respectively after both were called back for jumping the gun.
