Irish cyclist gets pledge of support from Maxol

Maxol have announced that they will support Ireland’s Track Cycling champion Martyn Irvine.

The 27-year-old will be Ireland’s only representative in track cycling at the London 2012 Olympic Games as he competes in the Omnium event over two days at the London Velopark on August 4 and 5.

Irvine qualified for London 2012 in April with a seventh-place finish in the Omnium event at the Track World Championships in Melbourne and has secured five top-ten finishes over the course of the Championships.

Maxol said in a statement: "Martyn is a champion and we, at Maxol, feel it is important to support him in his London campaign and to help increase awareness of his great achievements. Martyn will be profiled across the Maxol Service Station Network and we are asking the country to get behind him".
