Caroline Wozniacki needed just 64 minutes to book her place in the semi-finals of her home Copenhagen Open with a 6-0 6-3 hammering of French world number 107 Alize Cornet last night.

Bidding for her third consecutive title at the tournament, the former world number one saved the only break point against her and broke her opponent four times on her way to victory.

Wozniacki will play Croatia's world number 57 Petra Martic in the last four after the Croatian survived a difficult second set to overcome Serbia's Bojan Jovanovski 6-4 4-6 6-3.

Second seed Angelique Kerber beat Mona Barthel of France 6-2 0-6 7-5 and will play third seed Jelena Jankovic, who beat Estonia's Kaia Kanepi 4-6 6-1 6-3.
