Serena knocked out of Wimbledon

Marion Bartoli of France has beaten Serena Williams 6-3, 7-6 (8-6) in the fourth round of Wimbledon.

Williams, the defending champion, was comprehensively outplayed by the French ninth seed on Court One and lost the first set 6-3. She was not helped by her difficulties in connecting cleanly with the ball.
