This year‘s indoor cycling world championships will remain in Kagoshima, Japan, the International Cycling Union confirmed today.

The event, due to be staged between November 4 and 6, was under some doubt following the effects and after effects of the earthquake and tsunamis that hit the country.

But after evaluating the situation, the UCI have confirmed that the event will go ahead as planned, while adding that they will “continue to monitor the situation”.
