Federer battling through in Australian Open

Roger Federer completed a “tough” first week at the Australian Open today by securing a place in the quarter-finals with victory over Tommy Robredo.

The world number two again showed signs of vulnerability – his concentration disappearing completely in the latter part of the second set – before coming through 6-3 4-6 6-3 6-2.
