Clijsters strolls through in Sydney

Kim Clijsters, the US Open champion, made short work of Romania’s Alexandra Dulgheru in the first round of the Sydney International tournament at the Sydney Olympic Park.

The Belgian, seeded third, took just over an hour to win 6-1 6-2 to set up a clash with either Russia’s Nadia Petrova or a qualifier for a place in the quarter-finals.
