Ivanesevic to stick with Cilic
Goran Ivanisevic has extended his part-time coaching role with Australian Open semi-finalist Marin Cilic.
The former Wimbledon champion worked with world number nine Cilic at the pairâs home event in Zagreb last month, which the 21-year-old won.
Ivanisevic will travel with Cilic to the Masters 1000 events in Miami this month and Madrid in May in place of regular coach Bob Brett.
âIt should be fun,â said Ivanisevic to www.atpchampionstour.com. âBob is still his coach but in Miami and Madrid I am going to be his replacement while he is not there. I will be like a mentor to Marin.â
Ivanisevic brought a 15-year-old Cilic to Brettâs attention in 2004 and the pair have worked together ever since at Brettâs academy in Italy.
