Roddick cruises into last eight

Top seed Andy Roddick made light work of his second-round clash at the SAP Open in San Jose today.

The former world number one, chasing a fourth title after wins in 2004, 2005 and 2008, beat Leonardo Mayer of Argentina 6-3 6-1 in one hour and 14 minutes and will now meet Tomas Berdych of Czech Republic in the quarter-final.
