Reigning four-time champion Rafael Nadal has warned chief rivals Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic he has been playing “almost perfect” tennis in the run-up to the French Open.

With both British number one Murray and Djokovic showing signs of improvement on clay and world number two Federer buoyant after beating Nadal in the final of the Madrid Masters last week, the pretenders to the Spaniard’s Roland Garros throne are queuing up.
