Nadal crashes out

A lacklustre Rafael Nadal was bundled out of the Sony Ericsson Open following after losing a see-saw quarter-final battle with Juan Martin del Potro 4-6 6-3 7-6 (7/3) in Miami.

An error-strewn contest was kept close by the fact neither player could find their rhythm, with the world number one cutting a tetchy figure throughout the three-hour contest as he battled his inconsistency.
