Austrian cyclist Bernhard Kohl has been banned for two years after admitting to using drugs during this year's Tour de France.

Kohl finished third in Paris but was among the riders found to have used CERA, a form of the blood booster.

The ban was handed down by the Austrian anti-doping agency today.

Kohl indicated he would wait to receive written confirmation before deciding whether to launch an appeal.
