Bree fails to qualify despite new Irish record
Ireland's Andrew Bree has set a new Irish record in the men's 200-metre breaststroke semi-finals at the Olympic Games.
However, the Co Down swimmer has failed to qualify for the final of the event.
Bree surpassed his own previous record to set a new standard of 2:10.16 this morning.
He finished fifth in his semi-final and 11th overall, less than 0.2 seconds outside the qualification time for the final.
