Peelo to carry Irish flag in Beijing tomorrow

The Irish flag bearer at tomorrow's Olympic Games opening ceremony will be Ciara Peelo, a member of the sailing team.

The Malahide woman is set to lead the Irish team into the so-called Bird's Nest Stadium in 159th position.

A total of 204 countries will be participating in the Beijing Games.

Positions in tomorrow's Olympic parade are dictated by the Chinese alphabet.
