Top seed Andy Roddick crashed out of the Indianapolis Championships, with a shock 6-4 7-6 (7-1) semi-final defeat by Frank Dancevic.

World number five Roddick made 28 unforced errors as the Canadian reached his first ATP tour final.

World number 109 Dancevic will face either American Sam Querrey or third seed Dmitry Tursunov in the final.
