Sharapova dodges rain to win

Maria Sharapova defied threatening rain clouds and a gritty opponent to reach the fourth round of Wimbledon without the loss of a set.

The former champion gained a 6-3 6-3 win over veteran Ai Sugiyama with seconds to spare before the second rainfall of the day.
