Federer and Roddick win in Shanghai

Roger Federer defeated reigning champion David Nalbandian in 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 in his first match in the Masters Cup in Shanghai.

The win was sweet revenge for Federer who lost to the Argentine in last year’s final.

Other winners include, Andy Roddick, who beat Ivan Ljubicic 6-4 6-7 (9-11) 6-1 in the second Red Group tie.
