Federer seals final place

Roger Federer booked his place in tomorrow’s US Open final with a straight-sets victory over Nikolay Davydenko.

The Russian who ended Andy Murray’s tournament in the fourth round lacked the attacking weaponry to unduly trouble Federer and bowed out 6-1 7-5 6-4 in one hour and 43 minutes.
