Bogdanovic gets Wimbledon wild card

Alex Bogdanovic has been rewarded for his recent improvement by being handed a wild card for Wimbledon later this month.

The 22-year-old Londoner has won tournaments in Wrexham and Bergamo this year and risen to a current 138 in the world rankings.

Richard Bloomfield and Jamie Baker have also received wild cards along with Anne Keothavong, Sarah Borwell, Katie O’Brien and Melanie South.

The remaining British players will get their chance to compete for other places in the first round draw during an elimination tournament at Raynes Park next week.
