Defending champion Justine Henin-Hardenne admitted she has had better birthdays as she advanced to the French Open’s third round today.

The Belgian, who turned 24 today, ousted Anastasiya Yakimova of Belarus 6-2 7-5 in constant rainy conditions on Philippe Chatrier’s centre court.
