Caffari bids to be first woman to sail 'wrong' way around globe
British woman Dee Caffari is aiming to become the first woman to sail solo the wrong way round-the-world.
Only four people have successfully managed a "westabout" circum-navigation before - and all have been men.
She will be battling against the prevailing winds and currents for the duration of the journey, which will take twice as long as the normal route.
Caffari has recently completed the Global Challenge Race, which takes the same route - but that was with a crew of 17 others with regular stops along the way.
She is setting off at the end of this month, and hopes to be back by the end of April.
