Top seed Lindsay Davenport breezed into the second round of Wimbledon with a comprehensive straight-sets win over Russian Alina Jidkova on Centre Court this afternoon.

The world number one, champion in 1999, took just 41 minutes to wrap up a 6-0 6-2 victory.
