Tennis Ireland looks to serve up new sponsor

Tennis Ireland is seeking a new sponsorship deal following the roll out of its national development programme, now in year three of a 10 year campaign.

The tennis governing body is seeking sponsorship partners for its National youth development "Find a Champion" programme, senior Davis Cup and Fed Cup teams and its new National Training Centre at Dublin City University.

The €1.4m National Training Centre will be the centre of activity for development of the game at all levels and Tennis Ireland has put the venue's naming rights up for grabs. It will be officially opened by An Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern in mid July 2005.

Also in July, the very best of Ireland's men's tennis players will compete for their country against seven other nations in a Davis Cup promotion event hosted by Tennis Ireland at the Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club.

Des Allen, chief executive, Tennis Ireland said: "With over 130,000 people now involved in tennis at various levels throughout the island of Ireland, we feel it is the ideal time to present opportunities and build partnerships with sponsors to help build the momentum of the game's development."
