World number four Serena Williams has pulled out of the French Open with an ankle injury.

World number four Serena Williams has pulled out of the French Open with an ankle injury.

The 23-year-old ace, who won this year's Australian Open, has lifted seven Grand Slam titles in her career, including one in the French capital in 2002 with victory over her sister Venus.
