Guillermo Coria has vowed to become the world number one by the end of this year after the heartbreak of losing Sunday’s French Open final.

Despite comfortably winning the first two sets over his fellow Argentinian Gaston Gaudio at Roland Garros, the 22-year-old lost the third and then suffered cramps in the fourth before losing the match 6-0 6-3 4-6 1-6 6-8.
