Andy Roddick’s French Open dream ended in surprising fashion tonight when he was beaten in five sets by rank outsider Olivier Mutis.

The American, winner of the US Open at Flushing Meadows last year, appeared to be in control when he claimed the third set to move 2-1 ahead.
