Ireland face an uphill struggle to win their Davis Cup tie against Hungary at Fitzwilliam, after losing both of yesterday's singles matches.

Peter Clarke went down in straight sets (6-4, 6-4, 6-4) to Gergely Kisgyorgy, while Ireland's Kevin Sorensen lost 6-3 in the deciding set to Kornel Bardoczky, despite having won the first two sets.

Ireland must win today's doubles and both of tomorrow's singles matches in order to progress.
