Rusedski issue could rumble on
Greg Rusedski’s acquittal on doping charges is unlikely to bring an end to a controversy which is rocking tennis.
Rusedski became the eighth top player in as many months to be cleared of accountability for testing positive for nandrolone.
The British number two successfully argued that like those before him he had received contaminated substances in good faith from the men’s tour’s governing body, the Association of Tennis Professionals.
And despite being vindicated after a month-long decision process following his hearing in Montreal last month, Rusedski may not consider it to be the end of the matter.
Rusedski’s lawyer Mark Gay said: “Mr Rusedski is currently analysing the judgement.
“At the moment his overwhelming sense is one of relief and of course he will be studying the judgement in the days to come.”
