'Hero' Philippoussis clinches Cup for Australia

Australian Davis Cup captain John Fitzgerald hailed Mark Philippoussis a “national hero” after he battled to an historic five set victory over Juan Carlos Ferrero to clinch the title for his country.

Philippoussis had led by two sets to love before his mighty serve was affected by a shoulder injury and Ferrero came back to force a decider.
