Federer too strong for Robredo

Wimbledon champion Roger Federer scored his 18th win in 19 matches as he reached the quarter-finals of the Masters Series in Montreal.

Federer advanced with a 6-4 6-3 win over Spanish Davis Cup star Tommy Robredo, although the 21-year-old Swiss ace had to save five break-points in a tough first set before claiming victory.
