Faultless Federer powers past Roddick

Fourth seed Roger Federer of Switzerland was in brilliant form as he beat Andy Roddick in straight sets 7-6 (8-6) 6-3 6-3 to reach the final of Wimbledon.

The first set proved a tight affair, with Federer winning 8-6 in a tie-break, but the Swiss star never looked back.
