Henman edges through at Queen's

Tim Henman saved a match point before edging past Davide Sanguinetti in a tie-break thriller at Queen’s Club today.

The British number one lost the first set and looked on his way out when a series of errors gifted his Italian opponent a match point in the 12th game of the set.

But a wild Sanguinetti backhand gave Henman another opportunity and he seized it in the final set tie-break to triumph 3-6 6-3 7-6.

Henman lost his serve twice in the first set and struggled to adapt to the grass following his success at Roland Garros last week.

He got things together for the second set but blew a break in the final set before edging home to keep his hopes of a fourth Stella Artois title on track.
