Hewitt crashes out of French Open
Top seed Lleyton Hewitt’s clay-court troubles continued as he crashed out of the French Open in the third round to Spain’s Tommy Robredo today.
The world number one has not won a tournament on clay since the 1999 Delray Beach event – his only title on the surface – and his three-year drought continued as Robredo fought back from two sets down to win 4-6 1-6 6-3 6-2 6-3.
