Ireland have recorded a famous Davis Cup victory over Egypt after completing a 4-1 victory.

John Doran beat Mahmoud Maamoun in yesterday's first match before Sean Cooper beat Karim Maamoun 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.

Ireland had a 2-1 advantage going into yesterday's play.
