Australian Open: Seles advances to fourth round

Monica Seles booked her place in the fourth round of Australian Open with a 6-4 6-4 victory over Italian Francesca Schiavone.

The eighth seeded Seles lost her serve in the first game of each set but then turned on the style.

"It was a tough match, but in the key points I played well," she said.

"She's such a fighter - she doesn't give you any free points.

"I definitely have to play better than I did today, though, to take the title."
