US Open: Henman survives five-set opener
British number one Tim Henman survived an early scare to progress to the second round of the US Open in Flushing Meadows last night.
Henman took a two-set lead over unknown qualifier Jan Vacek, but the Czech stepped up his game and won the next two to take the match to a fifth-set decider.
