Gustavo Kuerten retained his French Open title with a four-set victory over Spain's Alex Corretja.

The Brazilian lost the first set on a tie-break, but hit back in the second, taking it narrowly 7-5.

However, the final two sets were far too comfortable for the man who has now won the French title three times in five years.

Kuerten dismissed the Spaniard with some devastating clay court tennis, winning the sets 6-2 and 6-0 to deservedly become champion again.
