Clijsters wins battle of the Belgians

Kim Clijsters won a see-saw battle of the Belgian young guns this afternoon to take an historic place in the final of the French Open.

Clijsters, 18 tomorrow, defeated compatriot Justine Henin, who turned 19 last week, 2-6 7-5 6-3 in a tight and tense struggle which lasted one hour and 51 minutes.
